Vineyard Pruning Day

Baxter's Vineyards will be hosting a vineyard pruning workshop on February 20, 2010 from 9 am to 12 pm at Baxter's Vineyards, 2010 East Parley Street, Nauvoo, IL.  The workshop will be a hands-on demonstration led by Kelly Logan, vineyard owner/manager at Baxter's Vineyards.  Participants will need to bring pruning shears and dress for cold weather. Kelly will be demonstrating how to spur prune to establish cordons on newly planted Norton grape vines. Registration fee will be taken at the door starting at 8:30 am and will be $10.00 per person.  The winery is located 11 blocks east of Highway 96 traveling through the Nauvoo State Park.  Wine samples, coffee and light refreshments will be available immediately following the workshop.
